BDO worldwide
BDO International has seen significant growth this year - in revenue, in size and in reputation.
Our growth was the strongest of the top ten international accountancy networks, with combined fee income rising to US$ 5.14 billion. The global network has 1095 offices in 110 countries, and the number of partners and employees across the world grew to 44,000.
During the year, the network welcomed new Member Firms in France, Croatia and India and completed mergers in a further 12 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Malaysia and Poland.
Consistently sound performance across the network shows BDO's strength in all regions - a necessity in an increasingly global market. In some of the major economies, including the UK and the US, we achieved growth of over 20%.
Our performance reflects the increasing number of larger companies looking outside the four dominant accountancy networks in our market - often for the first time. Many are finding that BDO International offers the international reach and capabilities that can meet the demand for more choice in the market.
Jeremy Newman, who took up the position of CEO of BDO International in October this year, noted that this further year of strong performance reflects continued investment by BDO Member Firms. The current financial and economic difficulties will be a challenge for all businesses But there is considerable confidence that BDO International will continue to develop because of its unrelenting focus on providing the highest quality advice and service to its clients, delivered by high quality people in all its Member Firms.
