Community, Charity and Care
Whether its work, rest or play, at BDO Kendalls there is always something going on around the nation that allows our partners, directors and staff to give something back to the community. Here are some of the activities.
On Saturday 29 March at 8pm, BDO Kendalls is actively supporting Earth Hour by powering down our offices. Our people are also taking up the challenge to do likewise in their own homes. In 2007, households & businesses across Sydney turned off their lights for one hour to send a message that it is possible to take individual action on global warming.
The result?
- 2.2 million individuals participated
- 2200 businesses participated
- Total power saved: 10.2%
- Equivalent of taking 48,000 cars off the road during that one hour.
This year Earth Hour has gone global with participants in cities and towns around Australia and in 24 countries worldwide. Join us for Earth Hour by turning off your lights for 1hr from 8pm. Each individual or business making one small adjustment to the way they live is just one way we can slow the current rate of global warming.
To find out more information or to register go to the Earth Hour Website.
