BDO in the community
Giving back to the community, wherever it is needed, is an important part of doing business at BDO. This philosophy is aligned with the values that we maintain as a firm and our desire to make a positive and enduring difference.
Our community involvements encompass both financial support and investment of our people’s expertise and time. We are committed to making a real difference to causes in the following areas:
- Community
- Charity
- Care
As the fifth largest accounting and advisory firm in the world, BDO recognises how connected we all are – regardless of where we live. We would like to introduce you to one of our key international charities – SmileHigh.
International
SmileHigh is a globally recognised foundation that works to increase the living standards of people in remote areas of Nepal by improving their dental health. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are proud to work together with them as their pro bono auditors. SmileHigh tell us they appreciate the way we partner with them to really understand their needs and what makes their business unique.
SmileHigh
“As a global foundation it was important for SmileHigh to engage a firm that had the right expertise and knowledge to help us with our accounting issues and deliver an audit. Importantly, we also needed a firm that was well regarded both in Australia and around the world for their quality, professionalism and technical expertise. The SmileHigh team were delighted that BDO were prepared to assist us with our audit in a pro bono capacity.
When seeking global alliance partners, it’s vital for us to have all our financials in order, because any organisation that we speak with needs to ensure that they’re entering into an agreement with a professionally run foundation. Because of BDO’s reputation and expertise, they have helped us achieve this which has positively impacted our ability to attract quality partners.
SmileHigh couldn’t have found a better audit partner than BDO and we look forward to working with BDO and saving more smiles in Nepal.”
