Experience

For over 30 years, Russell has worked in both business recovery and insolvency, and business services disciplines in South Australia. Among his more high profile assignments are receiverships of Hindmarsh Island Marina, GC Growden Pty Ltd, Pegasus Securities and Mt Shank Abattoirs. A strong contributor to his profession, Russell has worked on committees for associations such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, including terms as Chairman of both bodies. Russell has also actively supported not-for-profit organisations, including roles as Chairman of Ashford Special School, Deputy Chairman/Secretary of Can Do 4 Kids, Townsend House Inc, Board member of Guide Dogs Association of SA & NT and is currently serving as Secretary of Life’s for Living Inc. Russell is the Managing Director of BDO in South Australia and current Chairman of the BDO National Executive.
