Media Centre / Extranet

Previously, Credit Card companies shouldered the cost of lost credit card data and the fraudulent use of this information. But this is changing. “Identity Theft” is one of the world’s fastest growing crimes. This, coupled with the general lack of controls in many transactional environments has motivated credit card companies to effectively shift responsibility to merchants.

The Credit Card companies have collaborated to define the “Payment Card Industry–Data Security Standard, (PCI-DSS)”. Since being introduced in 2004, many transactional establishments must either be certified against over 230 detailed security specifications…or face the cost of loss.

Presenters Dr. Craig Wright (Sydney) and Colin Lewis (Melbourne) of BDO Kendalls, and Tom Crampton of Trusted Impact.

Who should attend: This seminar will be of benefit to Board Risk Committee members, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, Risk/Compliance managers, IT managers and Security managers. Call-centre and Accounts Receivable managers would also find this relevant.
