Tony is a leading tax adviser, specialising in tax risk management. He ensures that clients are in the best possible position to manage Australian Taxation Office reviews, and has considerable skills in accounting, accounting systems and commercial issues.  As a technical expert, Tony has advised the Government on the rewrite of the Tax Act, including the Capital Gains Tax (CGT), trading stock and income provisions, as a member of various advisory panels.  He has written for numerous publications and co-authored over 200 pages of commentary in Australian Tax Practice on the extremely onerous CGT value shifting provisions.

Tony joined BDO as Partner in 2012. He has been in the profession since 1984, and specialising in tax since 1989.  Tony has worked for a number of firms, including the Big 4, where he gained audit experience and advised the National Technical Office, developing and presenting courses in accounting and company law.
