Brisbane professional services firm BDO Kendalls has announced the appointment of three new partners to their Brisbane office.

Karina Collins has been appointed a partner in the BDO Kendalls Growth Services Consulting division, Marita Luxton a partner in the Risk Advisory Services division andCraig Jenkins in the Audit & Assurance Services division.

Announcing the partner appointments, BDO Kendalls (Qld) Managing Partner, TonySchiffmann said all three individuals had made a significant contribution to the firm.

“Their appointment to Partnership is certainly well deserved,” Mr Schiffmann said.

Within the Growth Services Consulting division, Karina Collins is focused on the delivery of management consulting services. She specialises in the analysis, development and implementation of business strategies that drive both corporate and operationalperformance improvement.

Consulting predominately to SME and small cap listed organisations, her core focus is the delivery of enterprise-wide strategic change. She specialises in the areas of business planning, innovation, commercialisation and strategy.

Her recent assignments have included strategic due diligence for one of Australia’s leading financial services firms, leading the implementation of a national innovation program for a major professional services provider and the provision of strategic planning services to a number of high growth Queensland businesses.

Risk Advisory Services division partner Marita Luxton has over 15 years experience in supporting organisations in accomplishing objectives through the evaluation of decision making, risk management, control and governance processes.

Her professional expertise spans a diverse industry base including public and privatecompanies, state government agencies, local governments and statutory bodies.

Marita is also active within the profession’s Institute and she currently holds the elected position of Queensland Councillor and is Vice-Chair of the Queensland Branch, contributing to its operation and the technical and professional development of itsmembers.

New partner Craig Jenkins specialises in external auditing, government and corporate consulting and internal auditing within the BDO Kendalls Audit & Assurance Servicesdivision.

Mr Jenkins’ expertise covers audit assignments with publicly listed and large proprietary companies, compliance plans and managed investment schemes, non-excluded superannuation funds and state and local government entities.

His experience extends to performing special investigations and preparation of investigating accountant’s reports for historical and prospective financial information.

Mr Jenkins’ recent assignments have included external and internal audits for a variety of corporate and government entities and assisting non audit clients with implementation and financial reporting of Australian Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards.
