Ms Rix, who specialises in corporate governance, family councils, succession planning, taxation structures and restructuring at business and corporate advisory firm BDO Kendalls in Brisbane, said she was delighted to rejoin the Corporation’s Board.
“I’m looking forward to rejoining the Board of the Port of Brisbane Corporation, which I previously served on for 6 years until 2005, as the Corporation continues to make a major contribution to Queensland’s economy,” Ms Rix said.
Ms Rix will step down from her current Board position with QR Limited, Queensland’s government-owned rail corporation, when her current term expires on 30 September this year.
Over the past 20 years, Susan has held many directorship positions on Queensland boards and has been actively involved in many large infrastructure projects. She has more than 25 years’ experience as a chartered accountant, practicing across a range of industry sectors, and has extensive experience in corporate governance.
Ms Rix is the treasurer/director of the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland, a Queensland Council Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a director of QUT Enterprise Holdings Pty Ltd, a member of the Department of Main Road’s Audit and Risk Committee and has also served as a director of the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority.
