Clark has nearly 30 years experience in providing audit and financial reporting and accounting advisory services.

Up until the introduction of IFRS in Australia, Clark was an audit partner responsible for the audit of public and private entities in both the for profit and not-for-profit sectors. Since the introduction of IFRS, Clark has concentrated on providing financial reporting and accounting advisory services. This includes assisting his fellow audit partners in ensuring audit clients are able to meet their reporting obligations as well as providing other clients with advice on IFRS and other corporate financial reporting requirements. In addition, Clark has assisted clients in resolving their more complex accounting issues.

For a number of years, Clark has also given presentations on financial reporting topics at both in-house and external seminars.

Key assignments

• Property sector - Advice on compliance with accounting requirements on stapling of a listed entity with a property trust.
• Agricultural sector - Assisted a newly formed public company in accounting for the merger of various entities and setting accounting policies for matters such as water rights, biological assets etc.
• Mining sector - Advice on business combination accounting, including a reverse acquisition.
• Various entities - advice on: - Accounting for share-based payments - Preparation of financial reports - Preparation of directors’ reports, including remuneration reports
