Experience

After beginning her career in the mining industry, Margaret was operations manager of two major tourism companies in Cairns where she gained valuable experience in the factors that influence business performance such as administration, staff management and public relations. Margaret joined BDO North Queensland in 1989 and has been a partner since 1993. Margaret enjoys working with a diverse client base, which includes retailers, professionals, medical practitioners, the building industry and the tourist industry. The majority of these clients are family owned businesses where Margaret consults with her clients on issues that have a direct impact on profit and business prosperity including management practices, structure, strategic planning and family issues such as succession planning.
