Experience

Andrew is an information technology and risk management specialist with over fourteen years of practical experience. In the past eight years, Andrew has focused on providing technology solutions, risk management and assurance advice, including assistance with implementation and compliance projects, IT audit and internal audit services to both public and private sector entities. This experience extends across a number of highly regulated and complex sectors, including government, financial services and utilities. Prior to joining Horwath, Andrew was a programmer / analyst with the Australian Taxation Office and then a financial and IT auditor with a big 4 chartered accounting firm. Andrew’s major competencies are in enterprise risk management including AS/NZS4360, IT risk management and governance, project risk management, corporate governance including the ASX guidance principles, Sarbanes Oxley SEC S404 (US), IT audit and security strategy and management including ISO/IEC17799.
