Innovation is critical for agribusinesses to sustainably meet ever-increasing population, environmental and nutritional demands. The R&D Tax Incentive exists to provide the additional support often needed for organisations to take the leap and undertake experimental activities they may not otherwise consider.

A generous broad-based entitlement program, the R&D Tax Incentive helps organisations fund development of new or improved materials, products, processes, devices or services, and is jointly administered by AusIndustry and the Australian Taxation Office. While AusIndustry is responsible for the eligibility of activities, the eligible expenditure associated with the R&D activities is claimed through an organisation’s income tax return.

In this video, our Food & Agribusiness experts explore the benefits of the incentive and how agribusinesses can access it to support their innovation activities.
