BDO Brisbane Federal Budget Breakfast 2014

On Thursday 15 May 2014 BDO in Brisbane held its annual Federal Budget Breakfast at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Mark Molesworth, BDO Tax Partner, provided an overview of the Budget and its implications for business, individuals and various sectors.
Following the presentation a panel of experts examined the likely social, economic, business and industry specific impacts of the budget for companies and individuals.
This year’s panel of experts were:
- Jim Tate, General Manager of Balance Sheet Management at Westpac Bank
- David Watson, the former leader of the Queensland Liberal Party and current Independent Chair at Translational Research Institute
- Mark Henley, Chief Executive Officer at the Queensland Council of Social Service
- Nick Behrens, General Manager of Advocacy at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland.
