BDO Calls for New Debate on Tax Reform: launches seventh Tax Reform Survey

06 March 2018

BDO’s National Tax Director, Lance Cunningham has called for more public debate on Tax Reform as the firm launches its seventh tax reform survey.

“BDO is committed to encouraging public debate and being at the forefront of discussions around Australian tax reform,” Mr Cunningham said.

“Australia has been tinkering around the edges of holistic tax reform for over a decade, while other countries move ahead. The question is, will the Government deliver real tax reform in the Federal Budget this May?

“Our 2018 survey theme, ‘It’s about the journey, not the destination’, reflects our continued work in influencing ongoing holistic tax reform in Australia.

“Participating in this survey gives people the chance to have a say on topical issues such as the GST, company tax rates, capital gains tax, state payroll taxes, and superannuation.

“Feedback will inform BDO’s submissions and commentary in any response to the tax reform process.

We welcome clients and stakeholders to participate in the five minute survey here.

The survey results will be released in April 2018
