The appointments, some effective from July 1, aligned closely with the Brisbane firm’s key growth areas of risk advisory, banking and finance, consulting, corporate finance, and tax and advisory.
BDO in Brisbane’s Managing Partner Tony Schiffmann said the appointments proved there was demand in the market for the firm’s broad service offering.
“It’s important for us to be ahead of the game and have the foresight to look beyond what’s currently happening in the market,” Mr Schiffmann said.
“We continually sit back and put our client hat on, to think about what they need so we can come up with a plan to make that happen.
“What we know is that business in Queensland is evolving at a rapid pace and our clients want help to ensure they can grow with it.
“As a result, their needs are constantly changing and their success relies on having a clear strategy to execute it — it’s our responsibility to have the right people to assist them through that process.”
Mr Schiffmann said the latest appointments were a testament that BDO’s capability is in high demand across the board and the appointments were designed to meet the demand.
“Whether our clients are seeking avenues for growth, improved efficiencies and security, or strengthened financing, we can support them at every step,” he said.
As well as a reflection on BDO’s ability to adapt to client needs, Mr Schiffmann said it also showed employees had a clear pathway within the business.
“It’s a priority for us that our staff are rewarded for their contributions to the firm,” he said.
“Our latest senior appointments highlight that a career at BDO is adaptable to the individual. None of our staff are siloed into a service line and expected to stay there if their skills set and value to a client evolve into another area of focus.”
