Angie is a Tax Partner with BDO in Brisbane. She has a reputation for providing practical advice, with sound commercial insight; a trait valued by her clients and peers.

Angie provides tax advice to businesses ranging in size and complexity; from large, global corporations to smaller, closely held enterprises (both listed and private). For many clients, she is their lead tax adviser, ensuring both risks opportunities are appropriately managed. Her specialist tax expertise includes advising on structuring, key executive remuneration strategies and assistance with public documents for the float of a resource company with operations in Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. She has also supported international operators with tax consolidation, commercialisation and foreign acquisitions.  On behalf of local clients, Angie has successfully liaised with the ATO regarding ATO audit and settlement on various issues, including availability of tax losses and income tax consolidation; Division 7A; Superannuation contributions; and small business CGT.

Angie has been a tax advisor for over 12 years. She has developed strong technical and professional skills, having gained experience in senior roles, with the top tier accounting firms. In 2012, Angie joined BDO as Partner.

Key assignments

  • Tax negotiation – Successful liaison with the ATO for a number of clients regarding ATO audit and settlement on various issues including: availability of tax losses and income tax consolidation; Division 7A; Superannuation contributions; and small business CGT
