Etienne Gouws

Etienne is a Partner in the IFRS & Corporate Reporting team in the Melbourne office, with more than 25 years of experience in different aspects of finance. He prides himself on building strong, trusted relationships to understand the complex issues facing his clients.

Etienne specialises in providing accounting and structuring advisory services, focussing on those matters that are front of mind to CFOs and public sector stakeholders.

He has worked in several countries and industries as part of his professional services career, which included leading audits and advisory projects of large multinational oil and gas, mining, advertising, media, pharmaceutical and fast moving consumer goods companies.

Before joining BDO, he led the Accounting Policy Group within the Budget and Finance Division at the Department of Treasury and Finance, where he contributed to and supported the financial aspects of large infrastructure projects, financial reporting frameworks and financial reporting requirements.
