Sustainability reporting is a hot topic at the moment as companies face increasing pressure from investors and investor groups to demonstrate a greater commitment to long-term, sustainable value creation which incorporates the wider demands of people and the planet.
However, the current landscape of sustainability standards for reporting is crowded, fragmented, changing fast and hard to follow. BDO has therefore published Sustainability Frameworks – A Snapshot: September 2021, which sets out the types of sustainability disclosures that companies might think about publishing, provides a high level overview of a number of the most well established existing sustainability standards and frameworks, and looks at current and future expected developments.
