Cyber Security Survey 2020 Apple Watch Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

By entering the “BDO Cyber Security Survey prize draw”, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. Who can enter?

Employees and their immediate families of BDO Australia Ltd or other member firms are not eligible to enter. Subject to the point above, entry is open to all residents of Australia, over 18 years of age at the date of the draw.

2. How to enter

The prize draw commences on 23 September 2020 at 10am and concludes on 30 October 2020 at midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

In order to be eligible to enter, entrants must submit a response to the BDO and AusCERT 2020 Cyber Security Survey and submit their email address on the form available on completion of the survey.

Entries must be received by midnight on 30 October 2020 AEST.

Only one entry is permitted per person.

3. Prize

There will be two winners from Australia. Each winner will receive one (1) 40-mm Apple Watch (Series 6) Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Solo Loop  to the value of AUD$599. The prize includes postage and handling via registered mail to an Australian address only.

The winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in any subsequent promotional activities and/or media relating to the prize draw prize draw.

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

All entrants agree to receive promotional emails from BDO Australia Ltd until such time as they wish to unsubscribe and be taken off the BDO email list.

All data collected by BDO is subject to the privacy conditions listed here.

4. How to win

Two winners from Australia will be randomly selected from the total pool of entries received. Each entrant who has entered the prize draw after completing the BDO and AusCERT Cyber Security Survey 2020 over the duration of the campaign and registered all details required (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be eligible.

The prize draw will be conducted by way of random selection on 4 November 2020 at BDO Australia Ltd, Level 11, 12 Creek Street, Brisbane QLD, 4000, Australia.

For each prize, BDO will first draw an entry for verification (initial winner) and draw another two entries to form the reserve list. All entries will be recorded in the order drawn. Upon verification, if the initial winner is invalid or ineligible, the first valid reserve entrant will be assigned as the winner.

The winners will be notified by email on 5 November 2020. If requested, the winners must then provide their telephone and address details to enable BDO to contact them to collect/receive the prize. If any of the two prize winners cannot be contacted by 2:00pm AEST on 12 November 2020, an unclaimed prize draw for that prize will take place at BDO Australia Ltd, Level 11, 12 Creek Street, Brisbane QLD, 4000, Australia.

The name and suburb of the winners will be published online on the BDO Australia website. The promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the prize draw prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. No liability

In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the prize draw on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the prize draw and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.

The promoter will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or mis-directed mail. The promoter will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:

a) During the draw

b) Whilst undertaking any activity in or connected with their entry into the draw

c) In the participation in any prize

d) As a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail

e) In relation to failure of an entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems

f) Arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any product, computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.

The promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

If for any reason this prize draw is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this prize draw, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the prize draw.
