The merger will bring together Consolid8’s expertise in a number of niche areas such as technology, e-commerce and franchise sectors, with a proven track record of delivering tailored services that will complement BDO’s existing accounting and business advisory offering.
BDO office managing partner in Brisbane, Mr Tony Schiffmann, commented on today’s announcement of the merger with Consolid8.
“Consolid8 shares our vision of business model adaptability to meet client needs in today’s ever evolving business landscape,” he said.
“The firm will bring a lot of innovation to BDO, as evidenced through Consolid8’s early adoption of cloud accounting technology.
“BDO will also leverage the industry leading financial education program delivered through Consolid8’s training focused company, Acceler8.”
“Together we will work to continue ensuring our clients have the information, skills and insight they need to consider the big picture and make well informed business decisions.
“This resonates very well with our partners and we are looking forward to the new and innovative business practices the Consolid8 team will bring to the relationship,” Mr Schiffmann said.
Consolid8’s Founder and Managing Director Mrs Tanya Titman shared Tony’s enthusiasm for the new business relationship.
“The cornerstone of Consolid8’s success has always been our people and our innovation. The merger represents a very unique and exciting opportunity to bring our agile and innovative approach to business to the BDO group, whilst continuing to operate and expand the Consolid8 brand. In addition, we are very excited to bring Acceler8 to the BDO Group. We strongly believe that financial education is key to unlocking business growth for SME’s. Acceler8 is a highly scalable business that will deliver Business Growth Programs to BDO clients across Australia.”
The merger will see three new partners join BDO in Brisbane.
Tanya Titman will take on a new role as Head of Strategic Innovation within the BDO group, driving BDO’s strategic innovation agenda by creating business opportunities that drive innovation, diversification and new value propositions.
Minna Zhu and Carmen Lee will join as Partners in BDO’s Business Services service line, working with the group to continue growing the Consolid8 brand in key markets.
The merger will see BDO’s Queensland footprint increase to almost 600 partners and staff across three key locations.
Consolid8 will continue to operate under its current brand framework and office location.
