BDO positions for growth with move to Perth city centre

BDO in Perth, one of Western Australia’s largest full service accounting firms, is entering an exciting growth phase with a move to the CBD, a newly appointed Managing Partner, and the launch of new services.

New Office Managing Partner, James Massie-Taylor, who has been with the firm for 20 years, said the firm has a clear vision for the future and strong demand for its services.

“It really is an exciting time at BDO, both for our clients and our people. The firm is growing and requests for our services across all areas are showing no signs of slowing down. I feel privileged to be leading such an exceptional team, especially as we embark on several strategic initiatives,” he said.

“My vision is to build on the work of our previous Managing Partner, Peter Toll, by continuing to provide our clients with the ideas and insights they can trust to achieve their goals, and introducing new service offerings to help them combat the challenges of today’s operating environment.”

BDO’s move to state-of-the-art offices in the city will see it take up residence in Tower 2 of the Capital Square Precinct.

“We’re looking forward to having more space in a modern office environment and to welcoming clients to our new home early in 2022,” said Mr Massie-Taylor.

“We’ll be even closer to many of our clients and our people will no doubt enjoy the benefits that come from being in the heart of the city.”

Strong run continues for BDO’s Mergers & Acquisitions team

“We’re leading the mid-market with local relationships, global reach and industry expertise,” said Todd Grover, BDO Corporate Finance Partner.

“Our significant M&A presence in Perth and our deep knowledge of the West Australian business landscape combined with a strategy-led approach means our clients receive an extremely high quality service.”

New sustainability presence

BDO in Perth recently launched a new locally-based sustainability services offering to support clients through the ever changing regulatory and operational landscape they are facing.

The team, led by Catherine Bell and Kira Sorensen, is backed by BDO’s global sustainability team.

“We’ll be helping activate and guide our clients along their sustainability journey with a practical approach focused on value creation and material risk management,” said Catherine Bell, BDO Sustainability Principal.

“Our aim is to inspire, educate and lead an unstoppable movement for sustainable business practice in our markets.

“Our workforce is also passionate about sustainability and our approach in this area forms an important part of our employee value proposition.”
