Mark Pizzacalla appointed to Board of Taxation

BDO Partner Mark Pizzacalla has been appointed by the Federal Government to the Board of Taxation.
The Board of Taxation comprises of 10 members and is a non-statutory advisory body, designed to contribute to improving the design of taxation laws and its operation.
Mark is the Partner-in-Charge of Melbourne’s Private Clients practice and is integrally involved in the firm’s Tax and Advisory practices.
Mark has completed a PhD on the taxation of SME’s in Australia, and over the past 30 years has worked across a range of industries including telecommunications, retail, sports, property and construction, defence, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, and professional service firms.
Mark joins new chairman Michael Andrew and fellow new members Peggy Kau Flux and Craig Yaxley to the Board of Taxation for the three year appointment.
