BDO recognised as Model Auditor of the Year for Asia Pacific
BDO has been recognised in the annual IJGlobal Awards as the Model Auditor of the Year for Asia Pacific 2020. In addition, BDO has also been recognised in league tables by both IJGlobal and Inframation & Sparkspread as the #1 Global Model Auditor for 2020 by deal value.
IJGlobal (owned by Euromoney) is the industry’s largest database of project and infrastructure finance data. The award recognises excellence in the financing of energy and infrastructure projects around the world.
BDO’s submission included exemplars for both BDO Australia and BDO UK teams’ work across the Asia Pacific region. This included BDO Australia’s submission for the Changfang and Xidao Offshore Windfarms Project (CFXD) and BDO UK’s submission for the Summit Gazipur 2 Oil-Fired Power Plant in Bangladesh and the Tengiz and Korolev Oil Field Portfolio Refinancing in Kazakhstan.
CFXD is a 589MW offshore wind farm project, located off the west coast of Changhua, Taiwan, developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). The wind farms will provide clean energy to more than 600,000 households in Taiwan and represents Taiwan’s largest offshore wind project financing transaction to date.
CFXD was awarded by IJGlobal the Project Finance and Export Finance Deal of the Year for Asia Pacific 2020.
