Nigel Batters returns to Australia and joins BDO Audit in Brisbane as Partner

BDO is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Batters as Partner, Audit & Assurance at their Brisbane office. Nigel brings extensive experience and a proven track record in providing strategic financial guidance to clients across various sectors.

Prior to joining BDO, Nigel served as the Chief Financial Officer (Europe) for Cromwell Property Group, based in The Netherlands, where he gained valuable international expertise and successfully supported clients in resolving complex business issues. Nigel's personal strengths lie in delivering real-world business solutions and sound commercial outcomes by working alongside clients as a trusted partner and adviser.

Nigel's core services include assurance services for listed and unlisted public companies, large private companies, and not-for-profit entities. He offers expertise in accounting standard and reporting requirements advice as well as assistance and preparation of financial statements. Nigel is also skilled in conducting due diligence and preparing Investigating Accountant Reports (IARs).

With a career spanning over 25 years, including at firms such as EY and Pitcher Partners, Nigel has developed deep industry expertise in sectors such as real estate (including funds and asset management, property development, and construction), financial services (including brokers, dealers, banking, and capital markets), services industries (including healthcare and childcare), mining services and wholesale and retail.

Nigel holds the designation of Chartered Accountant and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University in Melbourne and is a Registered Company Auditor.  In addition to his professional accomplishments, Nigel is actively involved in the Property Council of Australia.
