Online application
Submit your application through the student job board. Your application will include completing some questions around your interest in working at BDO, your resume and copy of your academic transcript (an unofficial copy is acceptable). Once submitted, your application is then reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. Rebecca has some great tips for your online application.

Video interview
You will receive an email invitation to complete a video interview online. We understand that video interviews can be quite daunting; however, it is a great way for us to find out more about your application and why you are interested in working for BDO. You will have the opportunity to complete a practice video interview before submitting your final video interview to BDO. Mish has some great tips to put you more at ease before completing your video interview.

Online cognitive ability testing
As part of the recruitment process you may be asked to complete a 20-30 minute cognitive ability assessment online. We strongly suggest that you find some quiet space and plenty of time to complete this online testing. Once you have completed the testing, you will then be contacted by a member of our Talent Acquisition team by phone or email to advise if you have been successful in getting through to the next round.

Assessment centre or interview
The assessment centres or interviews will be held either virtually or in-person, dependent on the current COVID-19 situation in your office of interest. Not only are assessment centres and interviews a great way for us to meet you and find out about why you are interested in working at BDO, it’s also a great opportunity for you to meet with BDO employees and Partners and find out why they love working for the firm.
The assessment centre may include, but not be limited to:
- a group activity
- interview or speed interviewing
- a networking opportunity.
