Established in 2001, Eastern Rural is a successful and well-respected mixed real estate and livestock agency servicing the Darling Downs and surrounding districts.
In June 2020, BDO managed the successful sale of Eastern Rural to Elders Limited (ELD). Elders is a listed company on the Australian Stock Exchange, with a market capitalisation of over A$1.4 billion and 2019 revenues of over A$1.6 billion.
BDO’s role as the lead M&A adviser to Eastern Rural included:
- Running a competitive sales process
- Managing and leading negotiations with the successful acquirer
- Assistance in managing the due diligence process
- Providing input into the sale and purchase agreement
- Other matters as required to complete the transaction.
