Project description
BDO was engaged by QIC to develop a Commercial Framework Principles Paper to support QIC’s engagement with the Queensland Government in relation to the proposed Gold Coast Athletes Village (GCAV) project for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.
These services ranged from inception and information collection, to preparation of the draft Commercial Framework Principle Paper and finally to review and finalise the Commercial Framework Principles Paper.
BDO has subsequently been engaged to provide a feasibility financial model for QIC in relation to the GCAV, based on the positive outcomes from the initial work we delivered for them.
BDO's role
As part of the engagement, BDO developed a Commercial Framework Principles Paper which covered the following:
- Overview of broad objectives and requirements for QIC, State Government, Gold Coast City Council and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Committee
- Current proposed potential uses for the designated site in accordance with QIC’s masterplan Development timeframe of designated site, potential development use, and proposed payment mechanism
BDO Is currently developing a feasibility financial model for QIC in relation to the GCAV including:
- Scoping and specifying components to be integrated into the model
- Building the model
- Providing ongoing model support as the project progresses and assumptions change.
