BDO appoints new Melbourne OMP
BDO has named Jason de Boer as its new Melbourne Office Managing Partner (OMP), marking the next stage in the firm’s leadership journey. He will take up the role later this year, as current Melbourne OMP David Garvey prepares to transition to Chief Executive Partner from 1 December 2025.
Jason has built his career at BDO with a strong track record of leadership and client service. Most recently, he served as Melbourne Tax Partner in Charge.
Mr Garvey said Jason has been instrumental in fostering growth across the Melbourne office and has played a key role in mentoring emerging leaders within the firm.
“Having worked closely with Jason, I’ve seen firsthand his commitment to BDO’s values and his ability to bring people together around a shared vision. Jason is an authentic leader with a people-first mindset, and I have every confidence that he will excel and guide the Melbourne office into its next chapter.
“I look forward to working alongside him to ensure a smooth transition before I step into the role of Chief Executive Partner in December.”
Jason said it is a privilege to be appointed as Melbourne OMP at such an exciting time for the firm.
“I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and proud to continue building on the strong foundations David has set. Our Melbourne team is full of talented, passionate people and I’m energised by the opportunity to work with them as we shape the next stage of our growth.
“I look forward to connecting with colleagues, clients and the broader business community as we build on BDO’s reputation for excellence, as well as overseeing a smooth and successful relocation to our new offices at 35 Collins Street”.
