Corporate tax partner joins BDO Sydney from KPMG

BDO welcomes Catherine Dean who joins BDO in Sydney on 15 November as a tax partner specialising in corporate tax. Catherine was previously at KPMG.

Catherine’s key focus at BDO will be to provide M&A transactional, advisory and tax compliance services to clients particularly in the energy & resources, industrial markets, corporates and charitable sectors.

BDO national tax leader, Neil Billyard, said Catherine’s appointment is well timed as the firm focusses on ensuring its clients are in the best possible position to manage opportunities as Australia’s borders start to reopen.

“Catherine is a great addition to our growing team, being highly sought after by clients for her technical excellence combined with her pragmatic approach,” commented Mr Billyard.

“Catherine is well respected in the industry, being a sought after speaker and publisher of a number of industry leading technical papers and reports.

“Catherine joins us at a time where the demand for our services has never been higher and adds considerable capability to the team.  I personally look forward to working with Catherine for many years into the future.”
