James Henry

James is a Director in BDO’s People Advisory team in Melbourne, providing clients with pay and payroll compliance, expatriate tax and employment tax expertise.

An Irish national, James had six years employment and expatriate tax experience before moving to Australia at the beginning of 2019 and joining the BDO team.

James has experience in leading engagements providing a wide range of compliance, advisory and ad hoc services.

James is a payroll advisory and compliance expert and aims to ensure that employers in certain industries are compliant in remunerating their workforce under that industry specific Award, or relevant EBA. This includes leading clients through payroll reconciliation projects and supporting them through their interactions with the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO).

James has managed a range of client portfolios across different industry sectors including hospitality, education, manufacturing, retail & SCHADS, in Australia and Ireland.
