BDO Submission – Draft report on philanthropy
In November 2023, the Productivity Commission released its Draft Report on Philanthropy, setting out the Commission’s draft findings and recommendations relating to motivations for philanthropic giving in Australia and opportunities to grow it further.
In response, BDO has prepared a submission providing comments and suggestions on stated motivations, such as the tax deductibility of donations and incentives, as well as recommendations, including building a stronger regulatory framework and increasing access to professional advisers.
