BDO is proud to announce the appointment of 22 partner promotions this calendar year, with 17 professionals being promoted in the latest round on 1 July and taking the firm’s total number of partners up to 269.
The 1 July cohort of partner promotions will be spread across BDO key divisions as follows - Audit & Assurance (3), Tax (2), Business Services (8), and Advisory (4).
The firm's commitment to nurturing talent and expanding its partner network is evident in these appointments, and comes after 5 partners were promoted in January.
Topping the 250-partner milestone in January this year, 2022-23 is marked by consistent growth in partner numbers as BDO also welcomed 18 lateral hires, 12 of whom were drawn from larger global competitors; a strong indication of BDO's ability to attract top talent.
This increase in partner numbers reflects continuing strong demand for BDO's services and contributes to the overall growth of the firm.
While 30 June financial details are yet to be officially released, BDO is on track for another very successful year with annual revenue and percentage growth tipped to be the largest increase in a number of years.
BDO's Chief Executive Partner, Tony Schiffmann, attributes this achievement to the firm's distinctive culture and the dedication of its 2,358 employees. Mr Schiffmann emphasises that BDO's culture is a demonstrable competitive advantage in the market; proven by the substantial increase in headcount and the attraction of lateral hires.
