BDO advises on private equity-backed acquisition of Alba Cheese by Apta Group

Apta Group, a growth-focused private equity and alternative assets firm, has completed the acquisition of Alba Cheese, a leading Victorian producer of Italian-style cheeses.

Founded in 1982, Alba Cheese is a well-established brand with a loyal customer base across Australia and key export markets in Southeast Asia and China.

The acquisition forms part of Apta Group’s strategy to scale profitable, founder-led food manufacturing businesses. It builds on Apta’s existing portfolio, which includes Village Dairy, bringing combined revenue to over $100 million.
