Appointment Summary

On 22 October 2024, the Federal Court of Australia appointed Andrew Fielding and Helen Newman as Joint and Several Receivers and Managers of certain property of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Defendants, David McWilliams and Laura Fullarton.

On 1 November 2024, the Federal Court of Australia appointed Andrew Fielding and Helen Newman as Joint and Several Receivers of the property of the First to Thirteenth Corporate Defendants.

On 19 February 2025, the Federal Court of Australia appointed Andrew Fielding and Helen Newman as Joint and Several Receivers of the Sixteenth Defendant. On 20 March 2025 the Receivers were appointed as Joint and Several Liquidators of the Sixteenth Defendant and subsequently retired as Receivers on 28 April 2025.

On 28 April 2025, the Federal Court of Australia appointed Andrew Fielding and Helen Newman as Joint and Several Receivers of the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Defendants.

On 14 October 2025, the Federal Court of Australia appointed Andrew Fielding and Helen Newman as Joint and Several Liquidators of the remaining Corporate Defendants.

Private Receivers and Managers of remain appointed to certain property of the Defendants.

Status Update October 2026

The Receivers/Liquidators have made an application for, among other things, orders providing for the assets of the defendants to be pooled before they are distributed.

In accordance with the orders made by his Honour O’Sullivan J on 20 October 2026, please find linked below, copies of:

  2. Orders made by O’Sullivan J on 20 October 2026.

Next Update

Subject to the legal matters of contempt and fraud, and court’s decision in relation to the pooling and remuneration matters, a further update will be provided.

There is no statutory date for the Liquidators to provide a further update, however, should a significant change in the liquidation arise, the Liquidators will write to all creditors.

Employees were notified of the Liquidators’ appointment and if entitled were directed to submit any claims for unpaid employee entitlements to the Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) scheme.
