Another major Partner hire for BDO’s growing Project & Infrastructure division

BDO welcomes John Haggett as a Partner in its growing Project & Infrastructure Advisory team. John joins the BDO Melbourne office from PwC, where he was a Director in the Infrastructure Advisory practice.

“John brings over 15 years of experience in the infrastructure space and an international background in large scale transactions across Australia, Canada and the UK. He has extensive knowledge across multiple sectors including transport, healthcare and environmental, with exposure across a range of procurement models,” said Darren Black, BDO’s National Leader for Project & Infrastructure Advisory.

“John has advised throughout the full project lifecycle from concept development, through procurement, up to contract close and into delivery – acquiring a keen understanding of issues faced by public and private sector clients in optimising commercial structures, delivering efficient procurements and raising finance. He will be a huge asset to our growing team,” Mr Black said.

BDO’s Project & Infrastructure Advisory team has experienced significant growth in the past 12 months, adding four new Partners to its Melbourne and Brisbane offices. David Kwong joined the Melbourne office in January, Ally Flint joined the Brisbane office from Deloitte in January, Nick Hardy also joined the firm’s Melbourne office from EY in July, and John officially joins the firm from PwC today.

Providing the service of a boutique firm with the skills and reach of a larger global player - as well as empowering people in a dynamic and interesting workplace - is key to their success in the project and infrastructure space, according to Mr Black.

“We are building an incredibly strong Project & Infrastructure team, welcoming a number of highly respected industry experts with sought-after reputations. This has been recognised by the sector and we are being invited to bid for a multitude of diverse jobs across Australia. It’s an exciting time for our team and the BDO brand in the market,” he said.
