Victorian Alps Wine Company Pty Ltd placed into Receivership and Managership

On 10 December 2025, BDO Business Restructuring Partners, Luke Andrews and Mathew Blum, were appointed as Receivers and Managers of Victorian Alps Wine Company Pty Ltd (trading as Gapsted Estate) and Victorian Alps Winery Pty. Ltd., subsequent to the Directors appointing a Voluntary Administrator. 

The Receivers and Managers have commenced a process for the sale of the business and assets. The business continues to trade in the ordinary course while this process is undertaken.

The assets include freehold land located in Gapsted, Victoria, comprising approximately 24.05 hectares.

Of this, approximately 8.41 hectares are under vine, with grape varieties including Chardonnay, Saperavi, Tempranillo and Petit Manseng.

Fully operational winery benefitted by excellent plant and equipment and production facilities capable of processing up to approximately 11,500 tonnes of grapes per annum, 2,500 tonnes of red ferment capacity, and wine storage capacity of approximately 8.2 million litres.

The property also includes a cellar door and an on-site restaurant, with capacity for approximately 60 patrons for lunch service and up to 80 patrons for events.
