Denise Brotherton

Denise is a Tax Partner with BDO in Melbourne.

With over 21 years’ experience as a Tax Partner, Denise advises private and public clients on a broad range of tax matters including, international & Australian tax compliance and structuring, due diligence, IFRS, tax risk management, and corporate governance.

Denise’s focus is on medium and large Australian inbound and outbound, listed and privately owned businesses.

Denise has been responsible for coordinating complex tax projects across multiple jurisdictions for a diverse client portfolio across the Manufacturing, Private Equity, Life Sciences, and Agribusiness sectors.

She has built and led client service teams across various service lines and supported clients with tax technology implementation and building inhouse tax capability.

Denise is currently a non-executive director with the ASX listed DGL Group and is chair of DGL’s Audit and Risk committee.

Along with her extensive industry experience, she leads programmes and committees driving diversity and inclusiveness across the business.
