Jonathan Cave is an Associate Director in Business Services with over 15 years of experience supporting family-owned businesses, international subsidiaries, and owner-managed businesses at BDO. Working in a close-knit team, he drives and maintains the values of the Business Services team - approachable, responsive, and supportive.

Jonathan shares the same values as his clients and endeavours to get to know them well by forming close relationships, taking the time to understand their issues and objectives.

Jonathan provides down-to-earth, practical business advice, making sure to always communicate honestly and openly in a way clients can understand. He works closely with other service lines to achieve successful outcomes.

Jonathan specialises in advising on and setting up structures for start-ups which facilitate the protection of IP assets and future funding including through listing. He is highly skilled in technology-based financial reporting solutions under all accounting frameworks.

He also assists with decision-making around corporate and tax governance, and ATO dispute resolution; assisting complex clients with a broad range of needs, understanding and prioritising their risks and opportunities across the business, and developing practical and tailored solutions to each.

Jonathan joined BDO within Business Services after completing his CA and has since spent periods of time working in audit, and corporate advisory roles. He also spent a year working in the manufacturing sector prior to starting his Chartered Accounting career.
