Laura MacIntosh

Executive summary 

Laura is a Director based in BDO's Brisbane office. She specialises in supporting Australian and multinational businesses across complex income tax compliance, tax effect accounting, cross-border structuring and transactional advisory.  

Laura works closely with CFOs, finance leaders and boards to manage end-to-end corporate tax obligations, including statutory reporting, tax governance, restructures, acquisitions and international expansion. Her experience spans ASX-listed groups, inbound investors and multinational organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions. 

She is known for delivering technically strong, commercially practical advice and for partnering with clients to ensure tax outcomes are robust, defensible and aligned to broader business objectives. 

Laura has over 15 years experience working in roles across large international consulting firms, mid-tier firms and commerce.

• Vendor and buy-side tax due diligence transactions for ASX-listed groups and multinational organisations 
• Advising on the Australian tax implications of both domestic and international restructuring transactions.

• Importer/Distributor/Hirer of access equipment – domestic tax structuring advice and tax consolidation project for a global inbound group 
• Global digital advertising/marketing/technology company – tax effect accounting and tax compliance work.
