Madison is a Director in BDO’s Global Expatriate & Employment Tax team in Brisbane. She has a background working in global accounting firms, and over 9 years’ experience helping employers navigate increasingly complex payroll and workforce compliance obligations across Australia and internationally.

Madison works collaboratively with Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), HR, payroll and legal teams to identify risk, remediate historical issues, and implement sustainable compliance frameworks that stand up to Australian Taxation Office (ATO) scrutiny.

With regulatory enforcement intensifying across payroll, contractor arrangements and workforce structuring, Madison works with organisations to move beyond reactive compliance into proactive risk management - supporting voluntary disclosures, ATO reviews and audits, payroll system diagnostics, and employment tax due diligence across transactions and restructures.

Madison is passionate about partnering with clients on practical, commercially focused solutions that protect their people, brand and balance sheet.

  • Lead specialist adviser on employment tax matters including PAYG withholding, FBT, superannuation guarantee, ESS, expatriate taxation and workforce compliance
  • Advising large corporates and growth organisations on ATO risk exposure, remediation strategies and governance uplift programs
  • Conducting detailed employment tax and payroll reviews across superannuation, contractor classification, payroll systems and termination payments
  • Supporting voluntary disclosures and ATO audit engagements, minimising penalties and interest through proactive engagement strategies
  • Delivering employment tax due diligence across transactions, restructures and workforce transformations
