Notice of resignation from various Insolvency Administrations

Please be aware that Matthew Leslie Joiner (“Joiner”) has resigned as a partner of BDO Australia, to take up a position as a partner of Cor Cordis.  Joiner is a registered liquidator, an official liquidator and a registered trustee.

There are a number of individual and corporate insolvency administrations in respect of which Joiner has been appointed (“Administrations”) or appointed jointly with either Gerald Thomas Collins (“Collins”) or Andrew Peter Fielding (“Fielding”).  It is proposed that the Federal Court of Australia (“Court”) make orders to allow Joiner to resign as a joint appointee for certain Administrations, such that his joint appointee at BDO will continue to act as an appointee and staff employed by BDO will continue to assist in managing them.  The files for these Administrations are intended to remain with BDO.

Further, it is proposed that there are a number of Administrations where the files will be transferred to Cor Cordis.  Orders will be sought from the Court to allow Joiner to remain as the appointee for these Administrations, such that the joint appointee at BDO will resign (where necessary) and staff employed by Cor Cordis will assist Joiner in managing them.

An application has been made to the Court by Joiner, Collins and Fielding to give effect to the abovementioned proposals (“Application”).  Any creditor or other person who may potentially be affected by these matters is invited to contact Paul Betros at HopgoodGanim Lawyers, by phone on (07) 3024 0305 or by email at p.betros@hopgoodganim.com.au should they wish to do so.

The Court will hear and determine the Application at 9:30am on 26 October 2017 at the Harry Gibbs Commonwealth Law Courts Building, 119 North Quay, Brisbane.  Any creditor or other person who wishes to be heard on this Application should contact Mr Betros at least 7 days prior to this date.
