About Certis
Certis is a leading provider of security and integrated services, with more than 3,000 frontline and corporate employees operating across Australia. As part of Vivace, the name of the transformation program, they implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll, to modernise HR and payroll processes for their national workforce.
The challenge
To support successful adoption, Certis engaged BDO's People Advisory Partner, Adam Quigley, and our technology-enabled change management team in Sydney to design and deliver a technology-enabled change management program including managing comprehensive change, communications, and a training approach tailored to a highly distributed, frontline workforce.
Certis needed to roll out the new HCM platform to a diverse employee base that included frontline security officers, corporate staff and leaders.
Our approach
To help build awareness, alignment and momentum, BDO developed a distinctive and unique program brand, including identity guidelines, a central online program hub, tailored key messages for stakeholders, leader videos and visual assets. This ensured all communications and training assets were connected, recognisable, and purposeful.
BDO developed a supporting multi-channel communications strategy, focusing on awareness, readiness and sustained participation throughout the rollout. This strategy covered audience-specific messaging for leaders, managers, frontline teams and change champions, a group of digital and face-to-face channels and a network of Change Champions to reinforce key messages, drive local adoption and enhance calls to action.
To help ensure confident adoption of SAP SuccessFactors, BDO developed a comprehensive suite of training materials, tailored to distinct user groups. Key training materials created include:
- Over 40 customised ‘how-to’ guides and instructional videos focusing on key processes for various roles
- A train-the-trainer model, delivering over 28 training sessions to Champions who then cascaded learning to frontline teams
- Multi-format resources including digital and hard-copy pocket guides, visual aids and posters, toolbox talks, virtual sessions and in-person workshops.
