Australian Scam Culture Report: March 2025 quarter

The latest edition of the Australian Scam Culture Report provides an in-depth analysis of scam activity for the March 2025 quarter, highlighting several key trends shaping the current landscape, including: 

  • The total dollars lost to scams fell by approximately $2 million 
  • Investment scams, while still accounting for 51 per cent of reported losses, saw a significant $10 million decrease in financial impact
  • Other scam categories experienced a rise in losses, particularly around seasonal events such as Valentine’s Day and AfterPay Day.
