BDO announces 1 January partner promotions and new-year hires

BDO’s growth trajectory continues with the announcement of two new partner hires and four new-year partner promotions, taking the firm’s total number of partners close to 350.

BDO in Australia released details of New Year promotions and newest partner hires today. The firm announced four partner promotions from 1 January 2026 in audit (1) and business services (3).

In addition, the firm shared details of two new partner appointments, Ella White and Chris Richardson, to its Melbourne office in January, strengthening the firm’s expertise in regulatory advisory, crisis response, business services and tax structuring.

BDO’s new chief executive partner, David Garvey, who took up the role on 1 December commented on the firm’s 1 January promotions and latest lateral partner hires.

“Today’s announcement highlights the excellent calibre of people coming up through our strong pipeline of talent and our ability to attract outstanding professionals in a very competitive market,” said Mr Garvey.

BDO continues to attract top talent. David Garvey commented on the latest lateral hires joining the firm.
