Courtney Whitecross

Courtney is a Partner in the Corporate & International Direct Division of BDO. Courtney has 16 years’ experience working with a range of Significant Global Entities, ASX listed entities, multinational corporations and large, privately owned Australian groups across a variety of industries.

Courtney’s understanding of international and domestic tax laws enables her to provide clients with comprehensive advice in relation to their current and future business structures, whether it be inbound or outbound.  

Courtney has a particular focus on Significant Global Entities which involves being across Reportable Tax Position Schedules, International Dealings Schedules, thin capitalisation and the hybrid mismatch rules to name a few. 

Courtney’s expertise lies with the management of compliance obligations for a range of taxes both in Australia and overseas. This includes lodgement of tax returns, preparation of tax effect accounting calculations, ESS reporting and FBT and also extends to tax governance and policy.

• International income tax law – Tax advice for an ASX listed company with international subsidiaries regarding its foreign tax obligations including withholding tax and controlled foreign company issues

• International Tax Management – External tax manager to an ASX listed software company in respect of their Australian and international compliance obligations including global mobility expansion
