BDO is pleased to invite you to hear the ATO discuss the implementation of Single Touch Payroll Reporting rules in Australia. These rules require all organisations to digitally “real-time” report payments, withholding and superannuation contributions to the ATO at the time payments are made to employees.
The new obligations came into effect from 1 July 2018 for organisations with more than 20 employees, and from 1 July 2019 for smaller employers.
We anticipate that as a result of the new reporting requirements the number of questions the ATO ask of employer payrolls, and the number of payroll audits subsequently initiated, are likely to increase significantly.
Join us to learn more about the new rules, the expectations of the ATO, and what you need in place to ensure you are able to meet your payroll obligations in the future.
BDO will share practical insights to help you prepare, including:
- Preparing for Single Touch Payroll
- Payroll Process and Configuration Reviews
- Working with your payroll providers
- Working with the ATO
The event will conclude with a panel discussion allowing you to ask the hard questions.
