Global Energy Middle Market Monitor

The 2016 Global Energy Middle Market Monitor has analysed the financial data reported by 304 publicly traded middle market oil and gas companies from 37 country and international stock exchanges from 2010 to 2015.

The report found that two years after oil prices began their drastic decline and brought the energy sector’s most recent boom to a grinding halt, they have begun to make a comeback in the first half of 2016.

Australia’s oil and gas sector is roughly six months behind that of the United States and Canada. As a result, industry observers believe that although Australia is seeing relative stability and even modest growth right now, companies can expect to see the industry slow in the months to come.
