Entrepreneurial spirit major driver for attractiveness

01 July 2019

BDO’s twenty-eight newest partner appointments announced today, across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Darwin offices, signals strong growth and takes the firm’s national tally of partners up to 197.

According to BDO national chairman, Helen Argiris, strong entrepreneurial spirit is a major driver to attracting top talent across to BDO.

“Responding to our clients’ needs, we have been proactive in attracting new talent, particularly in the areas of high demand such as Business Services, Consulting, Tax, Audit and Corporate Finance,” Ms Agiris said

“Our new partner appointments provide our clients with additional expertise and capability in both traditional and new areas of the business.

“People are choosing to join and to stay at BDO because we hold a market-leading position, underpinned by an entrepreneurial spirit that empowers our leaders and drives our tailored advice.

“We’ve enjoyed significant growth this year and with projected revenues to hit $300 million in 2019, attracting high calibre people is paramount in order to achieve our growth goals.

“Of the 28 partners to join BDO over the past twelve months, almost a third have moved across to BDO from a larger global competitor.

“In addition to attracting a number of highly talented people to BDO, the number of internal promotions to Partner this year reflects our strong pipeline of future leaders within the firm and the solid commitment to the development of our people.

“BDO was named Australia’s fastest growing mid-tier firm in the most recent Australian Financial Review Top 100 Accountants Survey. We attribute this achievement to the high calibre of our people, our new and expanded service offerings, and our innovation-driven commitment to exceptional client service.”
