BDO Gears-Up with New Partner Hires: Sydney & Melbourne

An increase in client demand and sector-led growth has seen two new partner hires for BDO Australia.
- Dan Coote joins the Sydney Office as a Partner in Corporate Finance. He has over 13 years’ experience and most recently was Director, Corporate Advisory at William Buck. Dan specialises in mid-market private and public corporate transactions, including due diligence and the execution of business acquisitions or divestments, business valuations, Independent Expert Reports, capital raisings and Independent Accountant's Reports and financial modelling. He has worked across a wide range of industries including: natural resources; financial services; healthcare; software and technology and outsourcing.
- As part of the recent merger of Melbourne-based business advisory, tax and accounting firm, Whelan & Cook, with BDO, Sharron Kyroussis joins the Melbourne team as a Partner in Business Services. The merger also sees Malcolm Fielden join as a Consultant, with Koraly Georgiou joining as a Principal. A further 11 Whelan & Cook team members move across to BDO’s Docklands office.
Helen Argiris, National Chairman, BDO Australia, said the two new Partners and the 13 new staff members were important appointments given the national strategic growth of the firm.
