He is a highly experienced WHS specialist with more than 20 years’ experience supporting organisations operating in high‑risk and highly regulated environments.

Brandon partners with boards, executives and operational leaders across energy, natural resources, infrastructure, logistics, retail, government and defence to strengthen WHS performance and prevent high‑consequence incidents. He is known for bridging the gap between operational safety and corporate governance, using data‑driven insights and robust management systems to enable informed decision‑making and sustainable safety outcomes.

WHS governance, assurance and compliance:

  • Executive and board advisory support on WHS governance frameworks, assurance programs and reporting, focused on material risk and due diligence
  • Independent WHS reviews and audits assessing compliance with legislative requirements and ISO standards, delivering practical, prioritised recommendations to improve safety performance. This includes site inspections to check Work-As-Imagined (policies and procedures) vs Work-As-Done (actual application)

Management systems and critical risk management:

  • Design and uplift of WHS and integrated management systems, embedding consistent approaches to hazard identification, risk assessment, control verification and assurance
  • Critical risk management for high‑consequence hazards, including control accountability, verification activities and performance monitoring

Investigations, due diligence and transformation:

  • Lead Investigator for serious incidents and high potential near‑miss events using ICAM methodology, supporting organisations to address systemic issues and strengthen preventive controls
  • WHS due diligence and risk assessments supporting mergers, acquisitions and major organisational change
  • Led a five‑year Asia‑Pacific HSE and Quality audit program across supply chains for major oil and gas companies in Australia, strengthening assurance across complex, multi‑jurisdictional operations

Operational safety systems:

  • Design and implementation of permit‑to‑work systems to control high‑risk activities, including confined space entry, hazardous energy isolation, working at height, hot work and excavation
  • Design and implementation of safe systems of work ensuring regulatory compliance for Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Chemicals and Psychosocial Hazards
